Final Filming/First Editing Session

Stephanie walking along a busy road where she then answers the phone. We then did a close up of the clock above Kings Cross Station; this shot is incorporated with the instructions given on the phone. After that we took the bus down o the Nido Student Living Accommodation. After permission to film we filmed Stephanie walking through the doors and approaching the desk. We then took the bus back to College so we could get our final shots done. These included a low angle shot of Stephanie’s feet walking along the corridor and an extreme close-up of the front screen of a phone ringing.

Today we had our first session of editing. We used Final Cut Pro on the Apple Mac’s to log and capture each clip. We then tried to construct the sequence but different ideas in the arrangement were suggested, these differed from what was planned in the storyboard. The original idea was to open with an establishing shot of the Tower Bridge and City Hall and then a shot of Stephanie walking along a busy road. However the shot of Tower Bridge was filmed on a different day to the Kings Cross shot and so the lighting was different and the change from a built up brick-building area to glassy buildings was not consistent. So as a group we then decided to use the shot of Stephanie walking in Kings Cross first rather than the establishing pan of the Tower Bridge. We then did a rough edit to see how it will al look together.
