New Topic (British Films and American/Hollywood Films)

Todays lesson, we moved onto a new topic. We were talking about the differences between American Films and British Films, and what makes it different. 90% of the class agreed that American films are better than British films. We all though this because we think that American films have better story lines and better directors and we all noticed that British Films have dull colours which makes it look less developed, where as American films have bright colours and more lighting effects which brings it to life alot more. We also watch two clips of British Films

One was Billy Elliot and the other was Four Weddings and a Funeral... The covers of the dvds are a prime example of why we british films are percieved as cheap, because of the poor lighting and poor use of colours. We had to analyse them and we found out how much the budget was (which were cheap compared to American/Hollywood films) and we also found out how much the film made, which wasn't alot either.
